A time and money saving partner for insurance companies

As a trusted partner to the insurance industry, Geobear has won multiple awards for revolutionising the subsidence claims process.

Our solutions are a faster, less disruptive, and more sustainable alternative to traditional underpinning methods. Instead of weeks of disruption, our projects typically take 1-3 days on site, allowing customers to stay in their homes and avoiding the need for expensive and inconvenient alternative accommodation.

Furthermore, the claims lifecycle is vastly reduced to months, rather than years. Our approach delivers clarity and speed, resulting in an improved Net Promoter Score (NPS) from your customers.

What Geobear can help with

Geobear's ground improvement solutions are a non-disruptive, less invasive alternative to traditional underpinning. We can help with a variety of subsidence and settlement problems.

Our solutions are designed by our in-house engineering team and are effective in a range of soil types, including clay. We can also help with issues caused by nearby trees, as our process doesn't require their removal or pollarding.

In-house engineering, leading tech

Our process is built on decades of expertise and a commitment to delivering a high-quality, engineered solution. This process is up to 70% faster and has a 90% lower carbon impact than traditional methods.

Injection

We inject a specific geopolymer material, which expands and hardens rapidly within minutes, strengthening the ground and filling voids beneath the foundations.

The Geobear solution is up to 70% faster and has a 90% lower carbon impact than traditional methods.

Our environmental commitment

We believe that repairing and strengthening structures should not come at a high cost to the environment. From our materials to our methods, sustainability is a core value embedded in our engineering design.

Independently verified: 53-90% lower carbon footprint

We commissioned an independent assessment from Carbon Footprint Limited to compare our geopolymer injection service to traditional methods of ground improvement.

The report found our approach "produces 53% to 90% less carbon footprint compared to a grouting or replacement solutions."

For a typical underpinning project, our method emits approximately 3,000kg CO2 versus 6,000kg CO2 for traditional underpinning—a 50% reduction on even a small-scale project. We are proud to hold the Carbon Footprint Standard credential, verifying our commitment to measuring and managing our emissions.

Case Studies

Bay window crack

Subsidence repaired in one day

An insurer needed to resolve a complex residential subsidence claim caused by high-shrinkage clay and large trees. The traditional underpinning solution was slow, disruptive, and costly.

Diagonal cracks in brickwork

Insurance subsidence repair resolved in 3 days

A tenanted bungalow with subsidence required a fast solution. Traditional underpinning or piling would cost over £45,000, require a 6-8 week lead time, and take 2-3 weeks on-site, causing major disruption.

Crack in brickwork

Fast Geobear solution applied to reduce time

An insurance provider needed a fast, effective, and minimally disruptive solution for a policyholder's subsidence claim (clay shrinkage) to ensure customer satisfaction and efficiently close the case.
