The property had experienced progressive subsidence due to weakened underlying soils, resulting in visible cracking and movement across multiple areas of the structure.

Solution

Geobear implemented a designed geopolymer injection programme to improve soil stiffness and bearing capacity beneath the affected foundations.

Small‑diameter injection points were installed to introduce a two‑component geopolymer beneath the structure. Upon mixing, the material expanded to fill voids, densify loose strata and re‑establish uniform support.

Injection was monitored in real time to ensure controlled lifting where required and long‑term ground improvement.

Results

The property was stabilised within three days, significantly reducing disruption compared with traditional underpinning.
