1. INTRODUCTION
Our website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site.
This website is operated by Geobear Limited, which is responsible for the cookies set on it. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Geobear Limited.
A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your computer. Apart from strictly necessary cookies, we only do this if you agree. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's hard drive. This policy also covers similar technologies, such as tracking pixels and session recording scripts, which we refer to together as "cookies".
2. THE COOKIES WE USE
Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our website. These essential cookies are always enabled because our website won't work properly without them. They include, for example, cookies that keep our website secure, remember your cookie choices and support enquiry forms. You can switch off these cookies in your browser settings but you may then not be able to access all or parts of our website.
Analytical or performance cookies. These allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily. One of these tools (Lucky Orange) records how you move around and interact with our pages, such as mouse movements, clicks and scrolling ("session recording"). We configure this tool so that information you type into forms is masked and not recorded.
Functionality cookies. These are used to recognise you when you return to our website. This enables us to personalise our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).
Targeting cookies. We use these cookies to record your visit to our website, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed.
We will use this information to make our website and the advertising displayed on it more relevant to your interests. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose so that they can serve you with relevant advertising on their websites.
3. INFORMATION ABOUT INDIVIDUAL COOKIES WE USE
You can find more information about the individual cookies we use and the specific purposes for which they are set in the table below:
4. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
Some of the cookies listed above are set by third parties when you visit our website. We only allow non-essential third-party cookies to be set once you have consented to the relevant category. These named third parties include, for example, external providers of web traffic analysis services and advertising networks. These third-party cookies are likely to be analytical/performance cookies or targeting cookies.
We currently use Google Analytics to monitor and analyse website traffic. We use Google Consent Mode, so that Google tags adjust their behaviour to reflect the choices you make in our cookie banner.
To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites, you can visit the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We also use Meta/Facebook, Google Ads/DoubleClick, Microsoft/Bing Ads, Cloudflare, Lucky Orange, Leadoo, Trustpilot, OpenAI, and HubSpot.
Our embedded Trustpilot reviews widget and our AI chat widget are only loaded once you have accepted the relevant categories of cookies in our cookie banner. Until then, a placeholder is shown in their place. The Trustpilot widget also contains its own consent tool (OneTrust), which records any choices you make within that widget (cookies including OptanonConsent and OptanonAlertBoxClosed).
5. YOUR CHOICES ABOUT COOKIES
You can choose which analytical, functionality and targeting cookies we can set by clicking on the custom buttons in our cookie preference center banner on your first visit, or at any time using our on-site cookie manager tool (available through the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page):
| Cookie Category | Default Status |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary cookies | ALWAYS ACTIVE (Required to navigate and run the website safely) |
| Analytical or performance cookies | OFF (Needs user opt-in before activating) |
| Functionality cookies | OFF (Needs user opt-in before activating) |
| Targeting cookies | OFF (Needs user opt-in before activating) |
You can also choose to 'Reject All' non-essential cookies directly in our website's cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time as easily as you gave it. Withdrawing consent stops further non-essential cookies being set but does not affect any use of cookies before you withdrew it.
If you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including strictly necessary/essential cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our website.
6. COOKIE DURATION
Cookies remain on your device for the periods set out in the table in section 3, unless you delete them earlier using your browser settings.
7. CONTACT US
If you have any questions or concerns about our use of cookies or how they interact with your personal data under the UK GDPR, please send us an email at info@geobear.com.
