Geobear recently worked with Reading Borough Council to stabilise the ground beneath a busy strategic road.
Northumberland Avenue in Reading had suffered years of degradation as a consequence of the movement of the ground beneath. We were consulted and designed a programme of works that would stabilise the ground soil beneath the flexible concrete base.
Had the council opted to replace the road surface without treating the ground first, the new asphalt would be prone to accelerated failure. Following the Geobear treatment, a new surface has been laid that will last for many years.
