Background

A leading insurance provider appointed Geobear to remediate subsidence affecting a residential property in Co. Cavan, Ireland.

Investigations identified a drainage failure as the root cause of the problem. Over time, water escaping from the damaged drainage system had weakened the soils beneath the foundations, resulting in structural movement and cracking to the property.

The insurer required a solution that would stabilise the ground quickly, minimise disruption to the homeowner, and enable the subsidence claim to be resolved efficiently.
