Technical webinar: A new low-disruption alternative to traditional compensation grouting; and demonstration of the strength of geopolymer material
Professor Colin Eddie FREng presents this lunchtime webinar which is the culmination of two years R&D with Geobear to develop the use of geopolymers as an alternative to traditional compensation grouting methods. GeoRT is a new patented system that requires minimal plant and equipment to provide real-time displacement control for major ground engineering works, such as tunnelling.
Furthermore, Professor Eddie will present his summary of an extraordinary geopolymer strength test. Earlier this year Colin and his team attempted to lift a train carriage using only the expansive force of geopolymer material, the methodology and findings will be detailed in the webinar.
