Area manager - Commercial & infrastructure

Location: Home-based (with UK travel)

What you'll be doing as an Area Manager

You will be a trusted technical partner for our commercial and infrastructure clients. Your role is to solve their complex problems, from stabilizing warehouse slabs and factory foundations to strengthening critical rail and highway assets.

You will be responsible for the full commercial lifecycle—from proactively developing new opportunities and building relationships to designing and quoting the most effective solution.

You will be supported by our in-house engineering team and will thrive on delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions to meet client targets.

Your key responsibilities

Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities in the infrastructure (Rail, Highways, Utilities) and commercial (Warehousing, Public Sector) sectors.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and engineering consultants.

Conduct in-person and virtual site visits to diagnose complex ground engineering challenges.

Collaborate with our in-house engineering team to interpret site investigation data and design effective, non-disruptive solutions.

Prepare and deliver accurate, timely quotations and negotiate contract terms.

Act as the key client contact throughout the project lifecycle, working with our operations team to ensure a smooth delivery.

Maintain accurate and timely data in our CRM system.

What we're looking for
  • 5+ years of experience in the UK construction industry, preferably in infrastructure (Rail, Highways) or commercial (Warehousing, Public Sector) sectors.
  • A relevant qualification in construction, engineering, or surveying (BSc, MSc, HND, etc.).
  • Strong technical knowledge of ground engineering (grouting, structural support, void filling, slab lifting, water management).
  • Proven sales and account management experience in the construction sector.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to understand client objectives.
  • Comfortable with CRM systems and virtual/online technology.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence.
